Dear Family & Friends,
Another year has come and almost gone. What a crazy year for
us with a couple big changes!
Dayna is 3 ½, extremely talkative, easy going, and watches
her brother like a hawk. Mannerisms are
so like him, it’s really quite amusing at times. She is testing the limits and
learning how life goes. She loves
dancing (we have many impromptu dance sessions in our kitchen), music as usual
and loves books. Some kids take teddy bears to bed with them, Dayna takes
books. Such a funny girl. Still loves to snuggle up although now only to read a
book. She can’t wait to get to playschool next year, I say let this mama enjoy
her baby at home for a while longer.
Dietrich is 5 and is in kindergarten this year. We are so
blessed to have a great school directly behind our house (literally, the
playground is across the alley) so it was the logical choice to send him there.
He is in a French Immersion program and is doing amazing! Such a smart boy, and
after a rough start he is loving school and begs to go back as often as
possible. Every few weeks there is an extracurricular optional early literacy
program on Friday mornings, he begs to go to them with me. It’s kind of our
time together and he loves having us at school with him. Of course I love it too, seeing him interact
with the other kids and learning what he’s learning. He loves music and will
spend hours downstairs listening to his favorite CDs and singing away.
Kelly’s year brought big changes career wise. Kelly made a big move from Laebon Homes in
April to become an Advisor with Sun Life Financial. A huge change and challenge making this
switch but he is enjoying the job and what he does. He is taking a break from hockey this year as
the demands of this new job and volunteering at AWANA and wanting to fit in
family time is stretching his time.
The first half of the year for me was spent at home full
time still. Love being at home with my kids. In August I went back to work part
time at Starbucks and really enjoy the job there. I am currently on a leave of absence from
there but we will see what the New Year brings career wise for me. I still have my Mary Kay business and have
been trying to expand that customer base again this year. I enjoy the flexibility it offers for our
family.
Unity Baptist Church is still our church home and this past
year that church has blessed our socks right off! It is an amazing church and
we have felt their love and support this past year through many changes and
challenges.
We hope that you all will be able
to slow down, sit back and realize and remember the true meaning of this often
hectic season! How Jesus came down to earth
as a baby to save us and give us eternal life. What more of a blessing and
perfect gift could we ask for?
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Love Kelly, Cassandra, Dietrich & Dayna Krause
